Where the fish are...
Bass: The bass fishing has been great! Slow your presentations down. Tube jigs & slowly cranked Rapala's have been putting some nice fish in the boat. If you are a live bait angler, leeches have been the way to go. Honey Harbour , Sucker Creek, Present Is., fish in the 6' to 12' range. SLOW DOWN!!
Top Lure: Watermelon tubes, Rapala Original or Risto Raps, Leeches
Walleye: The walleye fishing has been great as well!! with lots of fish reported being caught and released! Midland Bay, TRW, Snake Is & Sucker Creek by all reports are great areas to be fishing in. A variety of baits have been taking walleye:
Top Lure: worm harnesses, crankbaits, spinnerbaits and tube jigs.
Pike: The pike seem to be anywhere there is sparse weed (fast retrieving a spinnerbait or a Husky Jerk gets 'em every time!) Honey Harbour, Roberts' Island and a favourite haunt - Marshall's Island. If you're still fishing, try some bigger sucker minnows.
Top Lure:  Perch/Rapalas, black or chartreuse spinnerbait
Muskie: 28' to 40' drop offs close to shoals are where those 'skys are hiding!! Try trolling with big body baits in the Muskosh.
Top Lure:  Bagley Bang 'o' b's, Believers
Trout/Salmon: Captain Bill George of George'n Charters is on a streak!! He's fishing in the 85 to 105 foot range. Stoney Pt., Methodist Pt. and they are starting to get a few fish in the hole at Gin Rocks.
Top Lure: Monkey Puke NK's, glow/ladderback Lyman's
