Pike:
The pike fishing has been great!
Penetang Bay, Hoggs Bay and Gloucester
Pool have all been great spots! The
shallower bays seem to be the most
productive!
Top Lure: 4" to 6"
minnows, Buck Shot Spoons
Walleye: Try the same areas the
pike are hitting in! Large emerald
shiners on a swedish pimple or a set
line in a rod holder and watch for the
bite! Six Mile Lake, Sturgeon Bay, Hoggs
Bay, Midland Bay.
Top Lure: Buckshot spoons,
Swedish Pimple
Perch: There are a few fish
coming out of Hoggs Bay but rumour has
it that Lake Couch is the place to be
out at Airport Rd. BE VERY CAREFUL! Fish
in 18' to 22'
Top Lure: Gypsi Jigs, Rocker
Spoons, Tear Drops
Crappie: The early season crappie
fishing has been great! Try a little
bigger emerald shiner to get the big
slabs. Gloucester Pool, Six Mile Lake,
Twelve Mile, Black Lake. 18' to 32'.
