4.9 lb Walleye   Rob Fillingham

Where the fish are...
Bass:  Smallmouth got off to a slow start, but seem to be biting now. The water temperature is back down so adjust your thinking: smallmouth in 7' to 10' and the largemouth are hiding is the deeper weed edges. Hoggs Bay, Island 95, Honey Harbour.
Top Lure:   Mad Man craws, salttubes, Leverage spinnerbaits, 10" or 8 1/2 " Prowler worm
Walleye:  Walleye are roaming now. Try shallow at night or in 18' to 24' at high sun. Waubashene, Red Can (try the dropoff), Hoggs Bay
Top Lure:   worm harness - anything with green on it, Pro Series grubs
Pike:  Pike seem to be everywhere!! Hoggs Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Honey Harbour, Bone Island.
Top Lure:  Rattle Traps, Husky Jerk, Original Rapala, Leverage Spinnerbaits
Muskie:  28' to 40' drop offs close to shoals are where those 'skys are hiding!! Try trolling with big body baits in the Muskosh.
Top Lure:    Bagley Bang 'o' b's
Trout/Salmon:  Captain Bill George of George'n Charters is providing us with our Trout/Salmon report. With the turbulance of the water, the fish seem to be deeper. Instead of fishing where you mark the bait fish, move down the drop off to the deeper water - 90' to 120'. From all reports, trolling a little faster produced more fish. Methodist Is. and the triangle.
Top Lure:  NK28's Monkey Puke, Metallic Blue - almost anything with blue on it!!

Lure of the Week:

Smallmouth are feeding on crayfish so you want to try to imitate them as closely as possible. Tubes work wonders, but for that extra edge - check out Mad Man Lures. These are tubes that look like real crayfish!! You won't believe them until you've seen them!
