| Where
the fish are... |
Walleye:
The walleye are starting to school up, Sturgeon Bay, Green Is.,
Methodist Is., and Penetang Bay have been productive. The fish
are scattered in different depths. The Sturgeon Bay fish are in
6' to 10' of water. The Penetang fish are holding in the points
in 14' to 20'.
Top Lure: Husky Jerk, worm harness, bottom bouncer &
leeches.
Pike: The Pike fishing has picked up in the last 5 days -
the water temperature is up around 65°F and the fish are
starting to move around the limited weed growth. Hogs Bay, Honey
Harbour, North Bay and Penetang Bay have all been productive.
Big sucker minnows or Rapalas have been the ticket. Concentrate
on water in the 6' to 12' range.
Top Lure: Black/Gold Husky Jerk, 7" to 9"
suckers
Trout/ Salmon: The downriggers have started doing a
little around the 18th concession. Rainbow Trout mostly. The
fish are in the 20' to 50' range. The thermocline is all over.
Body baits are catching a few.
